Physical therapy for fibromyalgia and chronic pain

How physical therapy approaches long-term pain and fibromyalgia: individualized plans, gentle progression, and home programs for everyday life.

Living with long-term pain

Chronic pain is pain that lasts beyond the usual time for healing. Fibromyalgia is a condition involving widespread pain, often alongside fatigue and sleep problems. Both affect people very differently, which is why a one-size-fits-all approach rarely makes sense.

An individualized approach

Pain management is Galina Farbman Martirosyan’s specialty. At Back on Track, treatment plans are built around each patient’s needs and may combine manual techniques such as myofascial release and craniosacral therapy with individualized exercise.

Pacing and home programs

Many people with chronic pain find it helpful to start gently and progress gradually. Home treatment plans can include exercise and activities that fit into everyday life.

Keep your therapist informed about how you feel after sessions and home exercises so the plan can be adjusted.
